Costume Ideas..

This is me trying to figure out how to show the knightly aspect of her costume. Scarlet has never really had a symbol on her costume, so I thought the cross tunic could work. But it didn't seem like something she would wear, so I made the idea a little more sleek and put her one peice shirt here. The sleeves are armored, allowing her to take blows using her upper arms, and the torso area is even more durable made out of a kevlar mix that rivals Marvel's himself. She has gautlets similar to Marvel's and her's sport claws which can be used for weapons and gives her extra stability when climbing around the city.

Scarlet Knight in her new form..

She used to be a rabbit. Jason Cospelich, a friend of mine, was asked (by me) to come up with a list detailing the problems with Masked Marvel. He was the best read up on the subject, except for myself and brother John, who created the characters (so we couldn't really objectively come up with a list like that). One of the items on the list is that there are too many rabbits in the series. Marvel himself was a rabbit. Dina/Scarlet Knight was a rabbit. Black Rose and Psywave were both rabbits (although in their case it doesn't matter since Psywave is a doppelganger of our sweet demented Rose). So it was decided (by me again) to change her into a cat. That's where these scribbles came from.

btw..

I'm on Deviantart now. Isn't that handy?

lessee if that linked pic works.

New scribbles Genesis and whatnot..

Some truly interesting pictures of Jace on Genesis that surprised even me. Wolv looks a little more expressive than usual and that pic of Arleanus with the coffee, that's just gold. Still playing with this coloring style, and I'm really getting to like it.

This is one of Kathleen the Blade again and she's really a fun character to draw. Maybe it's cos she's another person's character and I can basically do what I want while chalking up any deviations to the "true character" to simple artist trade modifications. Whatever that means.

I lost my blog for awhile there...

I guess it's true that you don't know what you have untill you lose it. I didn't realize how much I like my little blog. To celebrate it's return I have a picture or two.

This first one is more in the line of the Marvel Revisions. New villain here, a mercenary who has lighning powers (top left), Entity in her depressed glory (sort of) and on the bottom the two detectives, Daniel Mackey and Calvin Granger, the two cops put in charge of all the vigilantism in Acme City.

This second one is called Smiling Through the Pain. I've noticed that Mickey has since the days of Walt, been neglected. Pooh and Stitch can be seen as way more famous than him. He didn't even have the glory of a feature length film until The Three Musketeers came along. Stitch has four currently out and Pooh has five, and that's not counting the first three specials as full length. So I'm wondering, how does he deal with it the fact that he's seen as a goody good in the industry and out? He puts on a happy face and deals with it, not showing his true feelings of self-loathing except to his own mirror at home.

Testing 1, 2, 3....

just trying to see if my problems are fixed.

Marvel Revisions..

Not exactly the "from the ground up" revisions that I had originally planned, but definately is a good direction I think. It may not look like much (except for Hickory down there), but there are changes. The whole thing is getting me excited about Masked Marvel again. Who knows, maybe I'll get some comics soon.

And here's Litherior/Hickory. He's decidely less lanky isn't he?
